About our area...
In the mountains of Western North Carolina, amateur radio is perhaps one of the best ways to communicate. There are dozens of parks with campgrounds, hiking trails, waterfalls, old railroad grades, old lumber camps, and fire roads where people often visit. Camping, fishing, and other outdoor "hobbies" are quite popular.
